Product Overview
Squeezing granulation is a relatively new dry granulation process for producing compound fertilizers. Squeezing granulation was early applied in the field of fertilizers for the granulation of potassium chloride, and the granular (1-4mm) potassium chloride required for blending fertilizers (BB fertilizers) was mostly produced by extrusion method. In recent years, extrusion granulation has developed rapidly in China for the production of compound fertilizers.
There are two forms of extrusion granulation: roller type and wheel rolling type. Roller type extrusion is first pressed into large blocks, and then crushed into particles. This device has high capacity, high particle strength, and low energy consumption. Roller type extrusion is widely used abroad. Wheel rolling is a process of directly shaping the roller surface into a grooved shape and extruding it into formed particles in one go. Sometimes adhesive needs to be added when the product strength is low. Suitable for making granular fertilizers such as organic fertilizers and compound fertilizers.
working principle
The process principle of roller extrusion granulation is that dry materials aggregate into dense and hard large blocks (cakes) under pressure, which is called the extrusion process; The process of crushing and sieving the cake into granules is called granulation. The function of compression is to squeeze out the air between particles, and to make the particle spacing close enough to generate attractive forces such as van der Waals forces, adsorption forces, crystal bridges, and embedded connections. The strength of extruded granules is mainly formed by the intermolecular forces between molecules.
